Payne’s Gray is a cool bluish gray that’s almost black in mass tone. When mixed with other colors, it’s less intense than mixing those same colors with black.

Gouache swatches are painted in two sections. The top is mass tone straight from the tube and the bottom is mixed 1:1:1 with paint, water and Titanium White.
