Yellow Ochre is one of the earliest known earth pigments and was used by ancient man to paint on cave walls. Yellow Ochre has excellent lightfastness, plays well with other colors in mixtures, and is a standard in landscape palettes.

Gouache swatches are painted in two sections. The top is mass tone straight from the tube and the bottom is mixed 1:1:1 with paint, water and Titanium White.
