Retouching varnish based on mineral spirit.

Intermediate varnish for painting in oil. Colourless; non-yellowing; fast drying; does not solve just-dried oil colours; it is possible to add a final varnish based on mineral spirit at once; the dried varnish layer remains soluble in turpentine substitute (50019).

• Temporary protection of oil paintings that are not yet finished

• Smoothes out the dull areas that often occur in oil paintings

• Also gives tempera undercoats the nature of an oil colour
